Rouse Hill Anglican College is offering an exciting opportunity to Year 6 students beginning in 2026. The Year 6 Accelerated Learning Class will provide a specialised, challenging learning environment for high potential students who have natural abilities in processing, remembering, understanding, reasoning and applying their learning.

Accelerating Academic Excellence

Students will receive the same explicit teaching and well-structured lessons from the Year 6 curriculum that is integral to the teaching and learning approach at the College.

They will move through the curriculum at a faster pace and in greater depth. They will be taught by a specialised teacher who has experience with high potential students. These students will also be an integral part of the Year 6 Learning Hub, a special Year 6 learning centre, and will participate in the same sport, music, excursions and extra curricular activities as their peers.

Selection for the Year 6 Accelerated Learning Class will be based on the results of a morning of testing on Saturday 21 June. Students who are not selected for the Year 6 Accelerated Learning class will continue to receive high quality teaching and learning which challenges and extends their learning regardless of which Year 6 class they are in. All extension opportunities including faster paced mathematics classes, spelling extension classes, withdrawal extensions activities and offsite extensions activities will continue to be offered to students to continue to fuel their love of learning and extend their capabilities.

Applications to participate in the Accelerated Learning Class testing day are open to both current and future students.

An application for this opportunity must be accompanied by an application for enrolment if you are not already enrolled with us at the College and have not already done so.
