The Gospel of Jesus Christ shapes and motivates the educational and pastoral experience at Rouse Hill Anglican College. Students will be given an education that is relevant to the present and which also prepares them to become successful, contributing members and leaders of the community. Their education will equip them to accept responsibility, take initiative and develop empathy. It will offer them stimulation to develop intellectual curiosity, solve problems, think critically, creatively and logically and to work collaboratively.
Starting with ourselves and our College community then moving out towards the world.
Jesus said that the two greatest commandments are to love God and love one another (Luke 10:26,27). This is the foundation for the way we treat all people. God demonstrated his unconditional love for us, and we are to love Him in return as well as reflect that love to others. Jesus further commanded us to love one another as he has loved us (John 13:34) Care is a demonstration of this love through actions, marked by a willingness to serve in our school, community and wider world.
In learning In relationships In following Christ
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9) Courage is doing that which you are afraid to do. It is a willingness to take risks for achievement and growth. The value of courage prompts us to not be satisfied with an easy outcome, but to pursue wisdom. It leads us to strive for, stand up for, and defend that which we believe to be right and true.
